Assemble at Salone del Mobile.

Allowing for Chance in Industrial Casting.

Assemble is a Turner Prize winning collective of 18 architects, designers, builders, and artists working together out of London. Their current project, A Factory as it Might Be, draws inspiration from the William Morris essay by the same name. It was commissioned, developed, and is currently on view at A/D/O in Brooklyn, New York.

At Salone del Mobile, Assemble constructed a temporary version of A Factory as it Might Be that captured the spirit of the project, through blending the industrial process of RAM press casting with their ever-present experimental approach to create unique objects.

Throughout the Utopia vs. Dystopia season, Assemble’s A Factory as it Might Be will be activated through workshops and an extrusion-inspired dinner in partnership with Norman.
