Designer and curator of the As, Not For Exhibit, Jerome Harris, partnered with The A/D/O Workspace for a RISO Printing Workshop exploring themes present in the exhibit like power, protest and the celebration of marginalized voices.

Following a brief overview of the exhibit and its focus by Harris, participates worked with our in-house technician to practice and apply learned applications in line, color, and methodology to create custom 11x17 prints to take home. Participants were welcome to come with art, or design on the fly.

Workshop Included:

- 1:1 instruction on how to use and design for the Risograph printer

- 10 final prints on French Paper cover stock per person

- Five colors options: green, blue, purple, black and neon pink (only two colors per print)

- All materials (including 11x17 french paper and stock for final prints)

- Light refreshments and snacks provided.

Our RISO Workshops are open to all proficiency levels and provide beginners and more experienced printers the opportunity to advance their approach to RISO printing.

What is Risograph printing?

Risograph printing is a cross between screen printing and photocopying. The Riso printer gives you all the wonders of screen printing and more – bright colors, overlapping inks, beautiful textures, charming mistakes and a handcrafted look.
