Benjamin started in the creative/business world at the age of 17, during the first dot-com boom.

With no formal training or education, Gott taught himself software development, focusing on merging information architecture and design. He has since developed a somewhat avant-garde focus on entrepreneurship that lead him to work on and create a variety of businesses in a handful of industries from beverage, to enterprise technology, to venture capital, to fashion, to education, to home goods, to science.

Some of his projects include founding Boxed Water Is Better, creating the object company, BENJAMIN EDGAR, founding the peer-to-peer education service, is partner at the venture capital fund Wakestream Ventures, and started THE BRILLIANCE! culture blog in 2005 with Chuck Anderson and Virgil Abloh.
